Cloud: Lessons from the front line

An ITP Breakfast Briefing in Wellington

Cloud: Lessons from the front line

We are honoured to have been asked to speak at an ITP Breakfast Briefing in Wellington.  On the 30th of November our founder and Chairman, Michael Whitehead, will give a talk on migrating to the cloud.  He’ll talk through what we’ve learned from those who have already done it, giving anyone who’s yet to start their journey some useful hints and tips on what to look out for.

The event overview from ITP is below.  If you’re interested in attending, you can register here

From the ITP event overview:

Big data, IoT, predictive analytics: data-driven decision making is an increasingly complicated world that can be difficult to navigate.

There is however one decision that has become easier to make: Cloud platforms have now become the mature, reliable and feature rich platforms that they need to be to be entrusted with our vital decision-making assets.

In many cases the decision to 'go Cloud' is a no-brainer.  The New Zealand Government has even introduced a 'cloud first' policy.

Many organisations from the private sector have taken the leap and it is from them that we can learn.

In this session, Michael Whitehead, founder of data warehouse automation pioneer, WhereScape, and Chairman of New Zealand data and analytics consultancy, NOW Consulting, will talk about what we can learn from the private sector to help us on this journey.

There will always be unknown unknowns, but you can, through others, map the journey and use their experience as your guide.

Includes buffet breakfast (vegetarian and gluten-free options available) from 7:30am. Presentation starts at 8am. Event finishes at 9am.
